Thomas "Tommy" Joseph Roddy's Obituary
Thomas “Tommy” Joseph Roddy passed away peacefully at his home on September 6, 2023, at the age of 55, with his family lovingly by his side. Born on July 1, 1968, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Thomas Jefferson Roddy and Linda Swan Roddy. Tommy is one of three children. He is the brother of Cynthia Roddy who preceded him in death and Jayme Roddy (Kevin Roussell). A native of New Orleans, Tommy graduated from Brother Martin High School in 1987. He went on to attend the University of New Orleans where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After receiving his degree in 1995, Tommy began his career at MCC Group in Metairie, Louisiana. In 2004, he became a successful business owner as Managing Partner of Tuscan Stone Imports in Baton Rouge.
Tommy is the most loving, caring and devoted to his wife, Connie Roddy, stepdaughter, Danielle O’Connor, granddaughter, Parker Turgeau, and uncle to Alexandre Roddy and Jake Willie. Tommy will be profoundly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law Herb and Sally Whitlow, Jerry and Diane Leonard, Matt and Dawn Raymer and his many nieces and nephews.
Tommy, a proud resident of Covington for over 20 years enjoyed spending time outdoors and on the water fishing, however, his true passion is spending time with his family, friends and the occasional stranger who would never remain a stranger. Tommy is a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Covington, Louisiana where he enjoys worship, studying the Bible and fellowship. His deep faith, unending love of God, family and friends is at the heart of who Tommy is and is why his memory will forever remain in all our hearts. He will truly be missed by all who know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at The Chapel at First Baptist Church, 16054 Murphy Road, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, September 14, 2023 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. Food and refreshments will be offered in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
