Thomas Louis Logan Sr.'s Obituary
Thomas Louis Logan Sr. passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the age of 89. He was born in Binghamton, NY on July 11, 1933 to Joseph W. Logan and Celia Lia Logan.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Melba Harrell Logan; his children, Kama Logan and Patrick Logan (Kelly); grandchildren Cassidy Palmisano (Jake), Ashley Fischer, Nate and Emily Logan; great granddaughters, Mia and Murphy Palmisano; and his brother Jerry Logan. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas “Tommy” Logan Jr., his parents, 1 brother and 5 sisters.
Tom proudly served 4 years in the Navy as a meteorologist in the Panama Canal Zone during the Korean War. He received degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Math, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Houston and was successful and well respected in the oil and gas industry, having worked for Shell, Damson Oil and Superior Oil before opening an oil and gas consulting firm, L&A Energy, in The Woodlands, TX.
Known for his dry sense of humor Tom was a loving, compassionate and caring person to all. He enjoyed being outdoors playing golf and fishing. However, his true passion was spending time with his family and friends. Tom was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Covington Presbyterian Church, 222 S Jefferson Ave., Covington, LA on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately at Southeast Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
