Thomas Emile Gavin passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009.
Beloved husband of the late Isabelle Indest Gavin. Father of John P. Gavin, M.D., Joseph A. Gavin, Michael D. Gavin and the late Jane Claire Gavin Vorbeck. Grandfather of Rachel, Patrick, Christopher, Ruthie Gavin, Meredith Bower, Nicole Gavin, David Vorbeck and the late Jason T. Vorbeck. Great-grandfather of Isabella Gavin, Jacob and Jonah Vorbeck. Brother of Leatrice Cannizzaro of Mandeville, LA.
Age 88 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Third Army in Europe. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 33 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave. Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, from 10:00 AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer masses to be said on his behalf.
Inurnment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
