Chief Thomas F. Davies' Obituary
Thomas F. Davies passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Covington, LA. He was born on Tuesday, March 1, 1955 to Genevieve Kocur and Maxwell B. Davies in Chapel Hill, NC and was a resident of Covington for over 20 years.
Chief Davies spent his entire career as a hero in Fire Service. He was one of the current Chief of Training Officers for St. George Fire Department in Baton Rouge where he served the last 15 years. His rookie year plus 21 years was spent with the New Orleans Fire Department. He served on the board of the St. Tammany Fire District 12 in Covington. He also served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church Of Kenner, LA.
The beloved husband of Charli "Lee Ann" Rhodes Davies, he is survived by one brother – James Davies (Sherry); mother-in-law - Audley Rhodes; niece - Kristen Davies Misuraca, her husband Frank and their children - Mason Belle and Ava Misuraca; nephew - Chad Davies and his two children – Shane Davies and Tom’s Godson, Jacob Davies. Tom was the brother-in-law of Ronda and David Breath, Faye and Russell Wright; and was uncle to - Kirby and Jordan Breath, Scott Self, Rachel Mire, Shannon Horn and Melanie Murray. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Joseph Davies.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Covington, 5657 Bricker Rd. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours at the church on Saturday will begin at 9:30 AM.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately follow services.
