Thomas James Anderson's Obituary
Thomas James Anderson passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the age of 91. Tom was born in Abita Springs, LA on April 29, 1935 to Edward A. “Bud” Anderson and Lillie King Anderson Tisdale.
Tom is survived by his son, Thomas J. Anderson a/k/a Gerardo LaRocca (Leticia); his brother, Steve H. Anderson; sister-in-law, Shirley Dianne Sharp Anderson; nieces, Teresa Holden (Kenny), Virginia Anderson and Shelley Anderson; nephews, Ethan (Debbie) and Alton Anderson. Tom is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, mother, and step-father, Maurice Tisdale; his wife, Cloie Willis Anderson; his brother, Edward John Anderson; and sister-in-law, Mary Penton Anderson.
A proud resident of Abita Springs, LA, Tom worked for Prestressed Concrete in Mandeville, LA for over 20 years. He then worked in the maintenance department of Southeast Louisiana Hospital and retired from there after 20 plus years. Tom loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 Louisiana 1081 (Stafford Road), Covington, LA 70435 on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 11:00AM with visitation beginning at 10:00AM until service time. Interment will take place following the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
