Theophile Joseph "Buck" Monlezun, Jr.'s Obituary
Theophile Joseph “Buck” Monlezun, Jr. passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. He was born in Covington, LA on September 12, 1928.
Buck was a native and lifelong resident of Covington and was a Korean War US Navy Veteran who served from 1948 until 1952. He was an avid sports fan and played football and basketball for Covington High.
He is survived by his sister, Beverly M. Richardson Kiefer and brother, Roger Monlezun, Sr,. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelda Bossier Monlezun; his parents Edna Pauline Glockner Monlezun and Theophile Joseph Monlezun; and siblings, Joseph Monlezun, Dolores M. Schech, Lucie M. Jenkins, Victorin Monlezun, Ruth M. Duet and Robert C. Monlezun.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank Gwen Sanderford for the care at his home and everyone at The Trace who gave him loving care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington LA 70433 on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM with visitation at church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
