Theodore Herbert Becker's Obituary
Theodore Herbert Becker passed away peacefully on August 11, 2014 at the age of 81.
Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Elmire “Sugar” Becker. Loving Father of Constance “Connie” Becker Baer (Mathew) and Daniel Farrell Becker. Devoted Grandfather of Jason Matthew Baer (Elisabeth), Jessica Constance Baer and Jennifer Lynne Baer. Adoring Great-grandfather of Carter Matthew Baer. Son of the late Jeannette Lucy Murray Becker and William Frank Becker, Sr.
Mr. Becker was a native of New Orleans, LSU graduate, Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, and Petroleum Engineer for both Texaco and Louisiana Land & Exploration Company. He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in south Louisiana.
The family of Mr. Becker would like to thank the caring and dedicated nurses at Hospice Compassus particularly Lisa, and the devoted sitters at Right at Home particularly Tashia, Irma, Felecia and Zulina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at First English Lutheran Church, 3701 Cleary Ave., Metairie, LA 70002 on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM with visitation at church beginning at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
