Thelma "Jean" Bodin Dupuy's Obituary
Thelma “Jean” Dupuy, 82 years of age, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Creole Cottage Care Facility in Lacombe, La.
Jean was born on February 21, 1940, in Jeanerette, La. to the late Alton & Ida Bodin.
Jean married the late Bobby Dupuy on February 27, 1965, in Jeanerette, La, and had 2 daughters from this union.
She was a loving & caring person, devoted wife, mother & friend.
She was involved in her daughters’ schools and many activities. Jean was room mother for numerous years & was President of the band booster club. She joined several Bible study groups & enjoyed growing her faith. Gardening & working in her yard was something you would see Jean doing often. She had a passion for cooking & loved to make her favorite Cajun dishes to share with family and friends.
She was a grandmother to 3 grandsons, and she adored them greatly.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Michelle Dupuy Evans (Scott) and Stephanie Dupuy, and her three grandsons, Jordan Carriere, Austin Carriere, and Christian Evans, and sister Linda Dubois.
His was predeceased by her husband, Bobby J Dupuy, and lovingly cared for him for 4 years of his extended illness, and her parents Ida Landry Bodin and Alton Bodin.
There will be a graveside memorial service at Lafayette Memorial Park, 2111 W. Pinhook Rd. Lafayette, La 70508 for family and friends who would like to attend on Wednesday, February 15th at 1:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the owners & staff of Creole Cottage for their amazing, loving, and compassionate care they provided during this extended period of care. They are truly a gift from God.
