Thelma Burris' Obituary
Mrs. Thelma Lee Brown Burris, beloved wife of the late Bishop Jesse Lee Burris, Sr., departed this life at her home in Folsom, Louisiana on Monday March 26, 2007.
She leaves to cherish three daughters and two sons; Melvina Burris Callion (William Jr), Elizabeth Burris Izard (Charles Sr.), Jesse Lee Burris, Jr., Vertina Theleasa Burris Banks and Joseph Keith Burris. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The sister of Lauretha Garrett, Zola Naylor, Lozannie (George) Davis, Chalmers (Curtis Lee) Brown, Robert J. (Donice) Brown, in-laws Willie Earl (Ora Dean) Burris and Emma Rose Burris. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and cherished the memory of deceased nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Wake Services will be held at Midway Church of Christ Holiness, 83359 Hwy. 25, Folsom, LA70437 on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Home Going Services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM from First Baptist Church, 13320 Broadway St., Folsom, LA 70437. Visitation at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time.
