Terry Lee Rodriguez's Obituary
Terry Lee Rodriguez passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 in Covington, LA. He was 85.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Buel Rodriguez and Mabel Faulkner Rodriguez and his brothers, Sidney Gordon Rodriguez, Ralph Rodriguez, Delton Rodriguez and Jerry Rodriguez.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Rodriguez, his daughter, Stacey Moore (Richard), his brother, Galen Rodriguez (Mary) and his sister, Sharon McKeon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Moore (Stephanie), Alexander Moore (Emily) and Katherine Moore, his close family friend, Bea Berry, Aunt Pat Austin, cousins, Michael Austin and Robert Austin, his loyal and faithful canine companion Sophie, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Terry was born in Houma, LA on June 2, 1941. He grew up in SE LA, graduating from East Jefferson HS in 1959, and then LSU in 1964 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He joined the USAF in the fall of 1964 and served until 1968, reaching the rank of Captain. After leaving USAF, he began his civil service career of 28 years with the US Navy, then continuing to work with the USAF at bases in NM and OK. After retiring from civil service, he worked for the Public Regulatory Commission in New Mexico for 5 years.
Terry was a devoted and faithful servant to the Lord. He will be remembered for his generous, kind spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering love of family and friends. He touched countless lives and left an impression on everyone he met. His love of animals, gardening, puzzles, and reading continued throughout his life. His family and friends will miss him dearly and hold his memory in their hearts forever.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 2:00 pm at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
