Terrence Edward Boland's Obituary
Terrence Edward Boland, son of Terrence Boland, Sr. and Virginia Thornton Boland Martin, was born on June 21, 1929 and died at his home in Folsom, LA on June 29, 2007.
Terry’s careers included: Staff Sergeant in the Air Force, printing business, tax preparation and real estate. One of his great joys was teaching his grandchildren to fish. Terry declared his belief in Baha’u’llah on September 1, 1958 starting almost 50 years of devotion to the Baha’i Faith. His service to the Faith included international pioneering to Switzerland, national and local pioneering. He served in various elected positions on Local Spiritual Assemblies in LA and IL including chair, vice chair & treasurer. Prayers have been offered by the National Spiritual Assembly at the Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette, IL.
Survivors include his wife Dianne Bologna Picou Boland of Folsom; Sister-in-law Shirley Boland of Lombard, IL; Children: Terry S. Boland of Chicago, Kim & Jeff Boland-Prom of Beecher, IL; Michael Boland of Portland, OR; Michelle & Mike Phillips of Mountain Home, ID; Stepchildren: Brian & Kim Picou of Biloxi, MS; Gretchen & Dave Clifton of Abita Springs, LA; Grandchildren: Anthony, Brent, Christine, Nicole and Vincent.
Terry requested both a Baha’i funeral and a mass to respect the faith of his beloved wife. Visiting hours will begin Monday, July 2, 2007 at 12:00 Noon with mass at 2:00 PM all from the Chapel at Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433, followed by a Baha’i burial at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
