Suzanne Morgan Mahrenholz's Obituary
Suzanne Morgan Mahrenholz, 84, recently of Mandeville, LA, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Sanctuary at Passages Hospice in New Orleans, LA.
She is survived by daughter, Deborah Mahrenholz Ross (Al) of Mandeville, LA and David Mahrenholz of Rockville, MD; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Megan, Suzanne, Ashley, Ryan, Collin, Matthew and Madison; three great-grandchildren, Marley, Nicholas and Finn. A brother, Kent A. Morgan (Diana).
She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Mahrenholz; her parents, Lillian Marie Tredez Morgan and William Henry Morgan; daughter, Janet Pettibone; and grandson, Casey Ross.
A native of Vincennes, IN, she moved to Columbus, OH as a teenager. She and her husband moved to St. Simon’s Island, GA in 1977, where Suzanne lived until 2016. She was a devout member of St. William’s Catholic Church and enjoyed her afternoons with friends playing Majong and bridge. An avid knitter, she made countless seamen’s caps for the mariners in the port of Brunswick, GA and baby blankets for family and friends.
Her family would like to thank the staffs of Beau Provence, Fidelis Northshore and Passages Hospice for their loving care and compassion during this past year.
A memorial service will be held at a later date on St. Simon’s Island.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Mahrenholz be made to St. William’s Catholic Church on St. Simon’s Island, GA or a charity of donor’s choice.
