Steve Marks' Obituary
Steve went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, Dec.11th, at the age of 61. Steve was a quiet family man who looked forward to playing catch with his beloved dog, Belle. He retired from Cox Enterprises with over 25 years of service. Steve started out as a lineman and in later years was a sales executive for hotels in the south LA region. Due to his hard work, he won many trips to places like Hawaii and St. Lucia. Steve was a ham radio operator with the call sign “W5CIA”. He enjoyed selling parts and accessories for ham radios on eBay. Steve loved being outdoors and working on his property.
Steve leaves to cherish his memories, his wife and best friend, Cindy. They were married 14 years on Nov. 28th. Also, his mother, Doris (Meme) Marks, and his daughter Katelyn (Shane) Burkeholder and son London “Casey” (Masie) Marks. He was affectionately called “GP” to his beloved grandkids, Adam and Abby MacDonald, Maddox and Holland Marks. His stepsons, Lee and Kyle (Megan) MacDonald, along with a host of other relatives.
To welcome him home was his father, Bob Marks and his dogs, Jessie and Chloe.
Those having the honor of carrying Steve to his final resting place are Lee MacDonald, Kyle MacDonald, Shane Burkeholder, Harold Camp, Marius Hebert and Joey Fouquet.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA with Dr. Michael Sprague, LA State Chaplain with the Capitol Commission, conducting the service and the visitation will begin at 9:30 am until service time. Entombment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
