Shirley Braun Manton's Obituary
Shirley Braun Manton passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was born in Covington, LA on October 31, 1936.
She is survived by her loving children, James H. Manton, Jr. (Judy), Robert L. Manton (Janet), Ronald S. Manton (Barbara) and Jody K. Manton (Jennifer); her twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin brother, John Braun and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Manton, Sr.; her parents Alice Dunn Braun and Louis Joseph Braun; and siblings, Louis Braun and Leola Zimmer.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirley had a lifelong career in the medical field where she made many friends and touched many hearts.
Shirley treasured spending quality time with her family and loved her dog, Bandit. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA 70433 on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will follow in Bogue Falaya Baptist Church Cemetery, 14278 Highway 1077, Folsom LA 70437.
