Shirley Mae Burleigh Broussard went to join her Lord Jesus, on Monday February 12, 2024 in Covington, LA. She was 87 years old. Shirley was born on May 11, 1936 in Opelousas, LA to the late Havard Burleigh and Marie Antoinette Dufilho Burleigh.
Shirley spent her youth in Clermont Harbor, MS. She loved the sun on her face, the colors Pink and Green, and all things outdoors.
Shirley is survived by her four loving children: Daniel J. Broussard, Russell W. Broussard, Susan Marie Broussard Tuttle (John), Michael L. Broussard (Stephanie). Grandmother of Lacey Tuttle Lee (Daniel), Haley Marie Tuttle, Zachary Michael Broussard and Abigail Alexis Broussard. Great Grandmother of Lila Clare Lee, Owen Daniel Lee and Clara Love Lee.
Our hearts are glad that she is walking, skipping, and running with her Lord Jesus.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00AM with visitation from 9:00AM until Mass time. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA.
