As a kid we stayed at her house and enjoyed her cooking and fun with her and uncle Bert
We swam everyday I think
She worked at Winn Dixie and would bring home cases of thier brand can sodas
I still love that brand the best
Aunt Shirley loved plants
Her yard and plants was always beautiful
Ok....gotta remember the old lady( grandma) was at thier house all the time
Also gotta remember her n uncle Bert were crazy about the saints
I was the third ticket and went to the games with them
It was a sad time when uncle Bert passed
Aunt Shirley and grandma we're each other's buddies
Then grandma passed.....very sad
I had continued coming n staying and going to saints games
Well I even got pregnant at her house.....
Now I think I left off they both loved thier dogs and Mardi gras
Time moves on n aunt Shirley gives up the saints tickets....cost was crazy
I get married and aunt Shirley leaves Louisiana for the first time to come.....she gets lost going home thou
Well then comes the hurricane Katrina.......nasty one for sure
She losses everything n gets a Katrina trailer
We helped her clean out the house n put everything in a pile in her front yard.....very sad
Well of course you know aunt Shirley's a tough one
She gets her house fixed back up and she is happy
She always just wanted to be home
She did good.....
She had a couple of falls
Had her last rights read to her
And 2 years later is where we are saying our good byes to her
I forgot to mention that she always put flowers on Bert n her parents graves
So I have to sum her life up some I've been lucky enough to be with her and all in three words
One tough cookie
Now she can be with uncle Bert again
