Shirley Mae Babylon Althans' Obituary
Shirley Mae Agnes Althans passed away on Sunday, January 05, 2014 in Franklinton, LA. She was born, Friday, March 18, 1921 in New Orleans, LA to Charles Casimir and Laura Abbott Babylon and has been a resident of Folsom since 1998. Shirley and Charles resided in the Lakeview area of New Orleans for most of their lives.
The beloved wife of the late Charles Thomas Althans, she is survived by one daughter - Suzanne Althans Banck; her son - Thomas Charles Althans; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her parents and two brothers, Henry and Charles Babylon, precede her in death. All who knew and loved her will miss her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Friday will begin at 1:00 PM.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 6417, Alexandria, LA 71307-6417 (www.alz.org).
