Shirley Weaver Babin's Obituary
Shirley Weaver Babin passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
Beloved wife of 60 years to Louis Earl Babin, Jr.; loving mother to Lawrence J. Babin and his wife Audrey, Leonard J. Babin and his wife Lori, Shelley Babin Pribyl and her husband Ed, Sheila Babin Foucheaux and her husband Tommy, and Suzanne Babin Arnold and her husband Jay, and daughter-in-law, Genny Majoue Babin sister to Myrtle Weaver Allen, William Weaver, Jr. and Frank J. Weaver. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Louis Earl Babin, III; father, William H. Weaver; mother, Carmelite Becker Weaver; brother, Emile Weaver; and three sisters, Miriam Weaver Mix, Carmelite Weaver Reppel and Nathalie Weaver Roig.
Age 81 years. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past two years. For over 50 years, she was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA and was a devoted volunteer of “The People Program” for several years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial services on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4465 Hwy 190 East Service Road, Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Saturday will begin at 11:30 AM.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
