Shelton Crain's Obituary
Shelton Crain passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. A native of Bogalusa, LA, he was born on Sunday, November 27, 1932 to Lutie Knight and R. W. Crain and was a resident of Covington since 1963. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served his Country during the time of the Korean War.
Mr. Crain is survived by five children - Virgil R. Crain, Ronald W. Crain (Sondra), Kendall W. Crain (Evelyn), Sue Crain Porter and Melinda Crain Hagardorn (Frank); two sisters - Willene Adams and Wilda Bufkin; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven sisters - Vera Kennedy, Ruth Kennedy, Mary Bordie, Verti Mae Breland, Agnes Ard, Nell Corker and Patsy Crain; and two brothers - Carl Ray and Wilson R. Crain.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM on Saturday.
Interment at the Louis Crain Cemetery in Pine, LA will immediately follow services.
