Shelton Joseph Adams Sr.'s Obituary
Shelton Joseph Adams, Sr. passed away at his home in Loranger, LA on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the age 72 after a horrible illness that took over his body. He was born on February 14, 1950, in Gueydan, LA to Harry Paul Adams and Laura Marie Marceaux Adams.
Shelton is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janet Willie Adams; his loving children, Carolyn Reed (Jamie Reine), Arlene Holecomb (John Ellsworth) and Shelton Joseph Adam, Jr. (Amber Coyle); and his adoring 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Eugene (Gracie), Edward, Paul (Debbie), Russel (Brenda), Michael, Rodney, Floyd and Robert (Odesa); his sisters, Annabell Glover, Lou Ella Adams, Madeline Adams and Joyce Laverne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shelton was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Margie Ann, Elizabeth Louise, Ruby Duhon; his baby brother, Leroy Adams; and great grandchild, Fantasia Coyle.
Shelton was a welder for most of his life on this earth. He was a wonderful brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Shelton was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. His true passion was spending time with his loving family and friends and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Willie Lee Cemetery, Willie Cemetery Road, Folsom, LA. Rev. Gregory Byers will be officiating the service.
Pall bearers will be Shelton Adams, Jr., Brian Reed, Jamie Reine, Eugene Adams, Edward Adams and Russel Adams. Honorary pall bearers will be John Ellsworth, Michael Adams and Dennis Glover.
