Sharon Lea Twomey Krutzfeldt of Covington, LA entered eternal rest at the age of 80 on Tuesday morning, October 19, 2021. She was born on July 17, 1941 in Moorhead, Iowa to Charles Michael Twomey and Cledas Neuzum Twomey.
She is survived by her children, Matthew (Teresa) of Madisonville, LA, and Paul of Davenport, IA, her sister Marilyn Seyler of Council Bluffs, IA, grandchildren Brittany Moran (Alan), Trevor, Tyler (Mallory), Matthew, Elizabeth, Caroline and Henry.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, David Carroll Krutzfeldt, her sister, Corine Gardner, and her parents.
Sharon grew up on a farm in rural Iowa. Her family moved to Council Bluffs, IA where she met the love of her life, David, while in high school. They married and lived in several cities while he worked for airlines. She worked in various jobs, the last of which was real estate with H&R Block and Latter & Blum of LaPlace. As a faithful member of First Baptist Church of LaPlace since 1971, she loved her Bible studies and volunteering for her church. Sharon was a very social person and enjoyed meeting and visiting with friends and family. If she ever met you, she could later remember your name and any personal things you shared with her. She loved her family vacations with her husband and sons when they were young and would camp and fish off the dock with them. Later she took numerous vacations with her sister Marilyn, brother-in-law Delbert, and David, traveling extensively in the US and Europe. In recent years she enjoyed visiting at the Senior Center and lived at The Trace of Covington.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services.
