Shannon, shared her love of Rome in her teachings in Relief Society. She gave us many insights to the City. When we were finally able to go to Rome many of the things she said came to life. We are so very sorry for your loss. I know she will be missed by her whole family. Again we know this is a terrible loss and we have have good memories of Shannon and will miss her also.
I know it is what everyone says is “ if you need anything” but I am sincerely saying if I can be of service or do anything please call or me or Bob. I know in the last few years you have needed support but did not let anyone know. Please in the future don’t be afraid to ask for anything that the two of us could do to help you get through this sad time.

I was never fortunate enough to meet Shannon, but have been very fortunate to enjoy the legacy of her children. Alyssa and I worked together at LSU in her endodontics residency program. I interacted with Brian during his dental school days. I met Laura several times at events at the dental school. I will say that Shannon must have done a lot of things right as a mom, as her children are exceptional people. Beyond her smarts and quick wit, I can also attest to the cooking skills of Alyssa. If parents live on through their children, Shannon is beaming with pride. I send my best thoughts to the entire family. Kent Sabey.

Shannon was a gentle and beautiful woman of God who always led by example. I loved to hear her stories of her mission in Italy, and nothing lit up her smile like a mention of her children’s accomplishments - there was no doubt she loved her family with all of her heart. We feel blessed to have known Shannon. She was such a beautiful, talented, kind person. She worked hard at raising a family and using her talents. She had faith that she put into action. Even when it was difficult for her to speak, we felt of her love and goodness. The McKay family will miss her.
