I have so many memories with him. He would pick me up from school pretty much everyday and he would wax philosophic about ancient Rome and drill me in some Latin phrases that I still remember to this day! On Fridays when he would pick me up we would go out to eat be it MacDonald's or Wendy's...he LOVED their chili!
We watched a lot of old movies while we would eat dinner at home. I really liked the Biblical ones and the ones set in ancient Rome and Egypt.
Most importantly, he made sure I knew the love of a father figure. He stepped into the role, he stayed.
