May peace find a path to all of those touched by Mr. Ambrosia's passing. I did not know him personally, as I am from Florida. However, I just spent the past 3 weeks in a little East Texas town of Karnack, which is just south of Jefferson. While there, I visited Shreveport LA and happened upon a used book store while thrifting. Inside were thousands of books to look upon, review, and buy if interested. By God's grace, I found one that captured my attention; A signed copy of Louisiana Cooking with Ambrosia from 1988. I have spent the last 2 weeks reviewing the recipes, and desperately waiting to engage these fine dishes, knowing they came from the heart & skill of such a wonderful Chef. I will be making his Pralines for a wonderful friend of ours who is 86 y.o. this Mother's Day. Today, I felt the need to research Sebastian even more so, and learned of his passing. For the family, I am privileged to carry on his passion for great gatherings, with fine friends and great food! May he rest in the presence of our Lord. God Bless and all things are possible through Jesus Christ. I would like to offer something that came to me in time of loss, and I have offered it to many with the hopes of lessoning ones sorrow.
