Reading about Miss Sara brought me back to a wonderful memory of my childhood on Madrid St. She used to give me allergy shots so my parents did not have to transport me uptown a couple times a week. I still can picture the glass syringe in the pot on the stove. She introduced me to politics when I went with her to pick up flyers at the Duplantier home. She was the mother of my first crush and the first teenage male I looked up to and learned from. Thanks for the great memories Miss Sara. May God bless you.
