Sanford Edward Gilbreath, retired owner of Convenient/Sam’s Food Mart uptown on Magazine St., on Friday December 2, 2005. Beloved son of Mamie Conway Gilbreath; father of Craig E. Gilbreath, Carrie G. Greene and Shelly G. Wells. He is survived three brothers; Glenn, William and Herschel Gilbreath and six sisters; Helen Stepp, Myra Rickard, Janice Owen, Betty Melendy, Kaye Hill and Rita Carlyn. He is also survived by his fiancée Rita Massett, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father F.E. Gilbreath and a sister Doris Bruce. Age 70, a native of Covington, TN and a long time resident of Slidell. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 12:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Inc., 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2005 from 6-9:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until Mass. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
