Sandra Reding Pratt's Obituary
Sandra R. Pratt passed away on November 14, 2009. She was born in Shawnee, OK on April 8, 1935 to Reva Bass Reding and the late Jay P. Reding and was a resident of New Orleans until retiring to Covington in 1995.
She was beloved wife of George Lockwood Pratt, Sr. for 55 years. She is survived by her mother; three sons: George L., Jr., John Jay (Jack), Sr. and David Paul Pratt and four grandchildren: Amy E., Katherine E., John Jay, Jr. and Courtney A. Pratt. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Jean Church Pratt and Mary LaRocca Pratt; and John David Noel, a close family relative.
Sandra spent most of her career working at Village Lady in Lakeside and Macy’s New Orleans. She graduated from Fairview High School in Fairview Oklahoma and met her husband while attending nursing school in Enid Oklahoma while he was stationed at Vance Air Force Base. Gardening, her family and her dogs, Matilda and Sparky, were her Joys in Life.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass from the church at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., St. Benedict, LA 70457 on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 2:00 PM.
Visiting hours at the Abbey church will begin Tuesday at 12:30 PM.
Interment at St. Benedict Cemetery at the Abbey will immediately follow mass.
