Sandra Bright Dutruch's Obituary
Sandra Bright Dutruch age 78 of Bush, Louisiana, passed away June 19, 2026. She was born on December 7, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama to John and Dean Buckner Bright. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Donald Dutruch, daughter Shannon Jenkins (Greg), son George Welch, grandsons Mason Jenkins (Lauryn) and Chase Jenkins (Allie), granddaughter Nicole Welch, and great granddaughter Evangeline Lily Jenkins. She is also survived by her sister Debbie King (Benny), nephews Ben King, Slayden King (Briana), great nephews Jaxon Beck, Bentley King, and great niece Olivia King.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at New Zion Baptist Church from 11:00am until funeral service at noon. Interment immediately following the funeral service at New Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to the New Zion Baptist Church family for their many acts of love, kindness, and support during this difficult time. We also extend our deepest thanks to Dr. Ricardo Blanco, the dedicated staff of Ochsner MD Anderson Covington Cancer Center, St. Tammany Parish Hospital’s 3rd Floor Oncology Unit, Lacombe Nursing Center, and Harmony Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and dignity they provided to Sandra throughout her journey.
