Sally Ann Von Behren Pistorius Couvillion's Obituary
Sally Ann Von Behren Pistorius Couvillion passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the age of 86 and is now comforted in the Lord’s embrace.
Loving mother of Pamela Meyer (Donnie), Ann Hunt (Ron) and the late Karla Bordes (David) and Sarah Hance (Tim). Daughter of the late Henry and Jennie Tujague Von Behren. Sister of the late Elaine Garic (Sid). Grandmother of David Bordes (Shannon), Charlie Bordes, Chad Bordes (Tiffany), Cody Brumfield, Emily Brumfield, Evan Hunt, Allison Hunt and Ashley Hunt. Great-grandmother of David Bordes, Chloe Bordes, Brody Bordes and Brock Bordes.
Sally was a native of New Orleans, a graduate of McMain High School, attended LSU and spent her later years at Roquette Lodge in Mandeville after her professional Life. She was an employee of Marsh McLennen and retired as the first woman Vice President of Tidewater Marine. She was also a Notary Public and continued that service until her death.
Sally was a lay Carmelite and spent many years as an active volunteer at her beloved Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA 70448 on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Friday beginning at 10:30 AM.
Interment will follow in Hope Mausoleum in New Orleans.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Sally to be made to St. Joseph Abbey.
