Sallie Amelia Fussell Fairburn passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of 57 years to Joseph Robert “Bobby Joe” Fairburn. Loving mother of Bridget Fairburn, Jo Anne Sharp (Greg), Robert Fairburn and Lori Fairburn. Daughter of the late Veda Blackwell Fussell and Founty “Buck” Fussell. Sister of Lucy Core, Carolyn Daull and the late Fenwick Fussell. Grandmother of Brett Sharp, Bobby Sharp (Crystal), Dakota Corkern, Chris Fairburn, Ashlee Fairburn and Dustin Fairburn. Great-grandmother of Bryton Sharp, Brylie Sharp, Carleigh Sharp and Karson Milton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Blackwell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Fairburn to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
