Ruth Alice Loyd's Obituary
Ruth Alice Loyd passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, surrounded by loving family members. She was a life-long resident of St. Tammany Parish. She was born on June 4, 1919 to the late Louis, Sr. and Lillie Johnson Loyd. She is survived by a host of nephews and nieces, loving family members and a multitude of friends. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. She was the last member of the Louis Loyd, Sr. family.
She retired from the Covington Library in December, 1995 and enjoyed working in her yard, the Senior Tours and all church activities until her health failed. She was a charter member of Shepherd’s Care Ministries.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 Hwy. 1081, Covington, LA 70435 at 11:00AM with visitation from 9:00AM until service time. Interment will follow services in Barker-McManus Cemetery, Covington, LA.
