Ruth Florence Dufrene Perron's Obituary
Ruth Dufrene Perron passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of 54 years to Joseph Burke Perron. Loving mother of Sheila Gros (Michael) and Susan Perez (Kenneth). Beloved daughter of the late Yvonne Boudreaux Dufrene and Adles Peter Dufrene. Sister of Jeanette Tauzin, Joy Barras and the late Malcolm Dufrene, Douglas Dufrene and Claude Dufrene. Grandmother of Christopher Perez (Bethany), Garrett Gros, Gabrielle Gros, Brittany Perez Jones (Jared), Gavin Gros and Gaelyn Gros. Great-grandmother of Gray Anthony Perez and Riley Alexis Jones. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation Friday evening at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at church on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Barker McManus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Perron to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
