Ruth Dillon Donald's Obituary
Ruth Dillon Donald passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on Wednesday, April 1, 1931 in Tylertown, MS to Sally Idalia Ard and Emmett Allen Dillon and was a resident of Covington, LA since 1965.
The beloved wife of the late Robert Weatherspoon Donald, Sr., she is survived by her daughter - Pamela Ruth Townley (Henry); two sons - Robert W., Jr. (Shirley) and Michael B. Donald (Melissa); four grandchildren - Katherine "Kitty" Ione Poulin (Jeff), Robert W. "Rob" III and Janie Idalia Donald, Mackenzie Donald and two great grandchildren - Aaron Lee and Leah Faith Poulin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson - Robert "Lee" Townley, five brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 2, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 203 N. Jefferson Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours at the church on Monday will begin at 9:30 AM.
Interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Jackson, MS is scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Covington at the above address.
