Ruth Mary Agnes Baumeister Buckner's Obituary
Ruth Mary Agnes Baumeister Buckner passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 after a long illness. She was one of 12 children born to John W. and Annie Seelhorst Baumeister.
Ruth left one daughter Rita B. Wallace and her husband Michael McNabb of Covington, LA, two sisters Lois Moffett of Shelbyville, Kentucky and Frances Atkinson of Huntsville, AL. She was blessed with two grandchildren Michael D. Wallace and Rebecca W. Pierce of Covington, LA. Five great-grandchildren Christopher M., Alexis, and Zachary Wallace, Brandon and Brittany Pierce.
Her life was spent in doing good for others. She grew up in Birmingham, AL and moved with her daughter to Covington, LA in 2005.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 80 St. Thomas Way, Montevallo, AL 35115 on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Visitation on Friday at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Rd., Pelham, AL 35124 from 5:00 PM until a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
Interment in Southern Heritage Cemetery following mass.
