Ruth S. Adra's Obituary
Ruth S. Adra, age 89, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. She was born on July 4, 1936, in Jerusalem.
She is survived by her children, Nayla Thomas and Fuad Adra; grandchildren, Jonathyn Thomas, Natalie Adra Neltner and Philip Adra; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Faruk A. Adra; son, Nabil Adra; parents, Basil Shiber and Lydia Mashi Shiber; and siblings, Katrina Khadder, Fuad Shiber, Sami Shiber, and Nada Sah.
Ruth lived in Jerusalem and Lebanon before relocating to Louisiana. She worked as an administrative assistant in various industries throughout her career. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in the adjacent Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
