Russell Eugene Beshoner's Obituary
Russell Eugene Beshoner passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the age of 54.
Loving husband of 12 years to Karen Oser Beshoner; dedicated stepfather of Chelsea B. Breeden and her husband Shane, Brittan K. Alexander and her husband Brant and Kaylin R. Kirkham and her fiancée Trey; Adoring and proud grandpa of Ava L. Breeden and Brayson C. Alexander; cherished son of Elizabeth Walters Beshoner and the late Edward Charles Beshoner, Sr.; loved son-in-law of Doris B. Oser and the late John F. Oser, Jr. He is also survived by his brothers, Edward C. Beshoner, Jr. and his wife Linda and Michael W. Beshoner and his wife Donna; his sister Sandra B. Shurtz and her husband Tom; his nieces, Kathy (husband Andy), Alexandra and Annie; his nephews Eddie (wife Jen), Kai and Jack; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Russ was born in Mobile, AL and was raised in Covington, LA, graduating from St. Paul’s High School. He was a licensed U.S. Merchant Marine Officer with the U.S. Coast Guard. He owned and operated Bayou Ed’s Charter Fishing Service for many years out of Delacroix Island. He thoroughly enjoyed sharing his passion and knowledge of fishing with his family, his many good friends and his charter clients. Russ was affectionately known for his good nature, his hard work and his caring and generous heart. He will always be remembered as a fun loving story teller who left you wondering truth or trick? His greatest enjoyment in life was simply to enjoy being with his family. He will be missed terribly, more than words can express, by all those who knew him and loved him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service on Friday, August, 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Friday will begin at 12:00 Noon.
