Rudolph "Rudy" Morel, Sr.'s Obituary
Rudolph “Rudy” Morel, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the age of 82.
Husband by first marriage to Dorothy Poyadou and by second marriage to the late Mildred Morel. Loving father of Rudolph “Rudy” Morel, Jr. (Bonnie), Brendalyn Vinti (Lee), Gary Morel, Sr. (Vickie), Cary Morel, Sr. (Chris), Brian Morel (Oralia) and Kelly Morel (Cindy). Step-father of Joyce Black and Lester “Skip” Bell (Barbara). Son of the late Hortense Eber Morel and Hamilton Hildebert Morel. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran during Korea and an avid fisherman. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Abita Springs since Hurricane Katrina.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 12:00 noon with visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM until Mass time.
Interment will follow in Abita Springs Cemetery.
