Ruby Weaver of Covington passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017. She was born to Lacey Bishop Weaver and Milton Watson Weaver in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana on June 27, 1928. She was 89 years old. Ruby is survived by her siste Read Obituary
I worked with Miss Weaver in the 1970’s at Houston Pulbic library and she was inspiring. I will not forget her.

I'm so very saddened to hear of Ms. Ruby's passing. I had the good fortune to meet this beautiful lady when she became a volunteer reading mentor for our students at Lyon Elementary School in Covington. Her kindness and gentle nature put the children at ease which enabled them to reach their greatest potential. I feel blessed to have shared these sweet memories with Ms. Ruby.
