Ruby Harrington Beauvais' Obituary
Ruby Harrington Beauvais passed away at the age of 93, on Friday, December 29, 2017. She was born on June 3, 1924 in Elk Creek, VA to Glen Harrington and Vena Cornett.
Ruby is survived by her three sons Hewitt, III (Linda), René, and Christopher (Tricia); three daughters Lydia Piper (the late Roy), Rosemary Beauvais, and Jeanette Fuchs (David); five grandchildren Eddie Fuchs, Lauren Butcher, Rayce and Payton Beauvais, and Ben Piper: three great-grandchildren Charlotte, Massey, and Annaliese; and two nephews Gary and Allen Harrington.
Ruby is preceded in death by her beloved husband Hewitt Joseph Beauvais, Jr.
Mrs. Beauvais was a native of Elk Creek, VA and a resident of Covington, LA. She graduated from Watts Hospital in Durham, North Carolina in 1945 where she received her RN degree. She held a nursing license in Louisiana and North Carolina. Mrs. Beauvais was a member of the Bush United Methodist Church since 1987. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of St. Tammany Parish Hospice and Sharon Johnson for taking such great care of Mrs. Beauvais.
A private funeral service was held at an earlier date and interment took place at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
