Royal Morris Sharp's Obituary
Royal “Morris” Sharp passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Norma Rushing Sharp. Also survived by his children, Valerie St. Amant and husband Richard, Melanie Blanco Sharp and Morris “Marty” Sharp; grandchildren, Katheryn, Hannah and Caroline St. Amant and Selina Blanco Sharp; siblings, Lorraine LeBlanc, John Sedrick Sharp, Glynn Sharp, Dale Sharp, Robert Sharp and Seline Aldean Sharp; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Hazel Sharp.
Mr. Sharp was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and gardener.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 12:00 noon from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Monday evening beginning at 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Sharp’s Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the charity of your choice.
