Roy "Hank" Johnson Jr.'s Obituary
Roy W. "Hank" Johnson, Jr. Passed away on May 29, 2026 at the age of 74. Born November 1, 1951, he was a gifted lifelong musician beginning with the clarinet in the fourth grade, continuing in the Covington High School band where he marched in numerous Mardi Gras parades and performing across the globe in a career with the United States Navy Show Band.
Hank was an Eagle Scout, a nature lover, a master gardener and a motorcycle enthusiast. He lived by the motto, "Live on the edge...and fall off." Hank was a character with character. He is predeceased by his parents, Roy and Irene Johnson and survived by his wife, Holly, brothers Gordon and Mark, sister Tami and four nephews.
Services will be private. His ashes are to be spread at sea per his request.
