Roy Francis "Steno" Brignac's Obituary
Roy Francis “Steno” Brignac passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born in Convent, LA on January 31, 1933.
He is survived by his adoring children Gail Brignac Reynolds (Ted), Lisa Brignac Rebstock (Allen), and Bryan P. Brignac (Christine). Roy was the proud grandfather of Chelsie Brignac Soler (Alfredo), Kara Reynolds (Vivian “Dizzy”), Jolie Anna Brignac, Kimberly Reynolds Hale (Brandon), and Jess Rebstock (Liz), and great grandfather of Camila Soler, Lucas Soler, and Justin Melancon. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Louviere (the Late Dennis) and nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Chauvin Brignac; his son, Daniel Brignac; his granddaughter, Brandi Rebstock; parents Lucrece St. Pierre Brignac and Gaston Paul Brignac; and siblings, Roderick Brignac (Nola), Patrick Brignac (Ruth), Bruce Brignac (Esther), Pearl Hymel (Adam) and Percy Brignac (Betty).
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Broadway Nursing and Rehab and Hope Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Brignac may be made to Team Gleason www.teamgleason.org or the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church or Masses.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Jane de Chantal, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment in Abita Springs Cemetery will be private. The family will join you for a reception at St. Jane Hall following the Mass.
