After a long journey, Roswell A. “Ronnie” Pogue left this earth peacefully, free of pain and with dignity, at age 90 due to complications from the COVID-19 virus. Born in New Orleans, he moved to Covington at age 3 and was a life- Read Obituary
Ronnie and Betty have been my neighbors and friends since 1991 when I moved to Covington and my husband's since 1983. Ronnie was always smiling and welcoming to us, a lovely person as is the whole family. I am so sorry for their loss. He was a happy face in the neighborhood and he will be very much missed.

Blessings and condolences to the Pogue family. I was fortunate to have Mr. Pogue as a teacher and basketball coach at Covington Junior High during the late 50's. What a wonderful role model!!! He was the prototype for sports psychology before it was 'in'. As one of my all time favorite teachers, Mr. Pogue instilled the life long skills of trust, inner joy, teamwork, integrity, and a love of learning and sport. Thank you, Mr Pogue and blessings to your family. His legacy lives on with this student!
