Roselus Joseph Simoneaux's Obituary
Roselus Joseph Simoneaux passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 surrounded by family at his home in Bush, LA. He was born on January 28, 1926 in Franklin, LA to the late Wilfred Simoneaux and Sidonie Hebert.
Roselus was married to his beloved late wife, Joyce Besson Simoneaux, for 63 years. He was the loving father of Sidney Guy Edmond Landry (Doreen), Sandra Lynn Dupuy (the late Dallas), Barry Joseph Simoneaux (Connie), Roseland Simoneaux Richardson (Rhett), Simon Gabriel Simoneaux (the late Penny), the late Rickey Anthony Landry (the late Penny), and Asher Paul Simoneaux. Roselus was the brother of Betty Cammadell, Ira Simoneaux, Nolan Simoneaux, Eve Jones and the late Wilfred Simoneaux, Jr., Lester Simoneaux, Lulumae Collura and Lillian Volpi. He was very proud of his 36 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. Roselus also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Simoneaux to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org , (800) 272-3900.
