Ronald "Ronnie" A. Farina's Obituary
Ronald “Ronnie” A. Farina passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was born on Monday, June 16, 1941 in Galveston, TX to Lucilla O'Dell and Pete Farina. He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1963 until November of 1965. He was a longtime resident of the Southshore while raising a family and working for Halliburton. After retirement he moved with his wife of 50 years to Abita Springs, LA.
The beloved husband of Donna Mauro Farina, he is survived by two daughters - Rhonda Farina Ware (George) and Robin Farina Lala; five grandchildren - Gage M. Berry, Ryan Simeon, Charlotte Ware, Cameron and Hayden Lala; one sister - Olivia Strom Tolbert and her children, Michael Strom and Carrie Menotti; one sister-in-law - Deborah Cox, husband Buddy and their son Nathan; one brother-in-law - Frankie Mauro and his children Michelle, Gina, and Paula, along with numerous other family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother - Donald Farina and brother - Jacob Farina.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a viewing and time of visitation on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 12 - 2:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
