Ronald Benedict Guillot's Obituary
GUILLOT Ronnie Benedict Guillot, age 80, died peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022, surrounded by family and his fiancée, Emilie Smith. He was born on October 8, 1941, in New Orleans, LA to the late George Octave Guillot, Jr. and Helen Baronne Guillot.
Ronnie is survived by three children: Ron Guillot, Jr. and wife, Dr. Alexandra Theriault, who reside in Denver, Colorado. Michael Guillot and wife, Ashly, who reside in Boise, Idaho and Chris Guillot and wife, Lisa, who reside in Goodland, Kansas. Ronnie was the proud grandfather of Hayes, Anna, Remy, and Elle. Ronnie is also survived by brothers, George Guillot, III wife Linda, and Rocky Guillot, wife Cindy and sister, Trisha Jones. In addition, many loving nieces and nephews. Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jacquelin Caskie Guillot and his daughter, Leesa Ann Guillot, in addition to his sister Mary Helen Peterson and brother Kenny Guillot.
After a childhood spent in New Orleans and Shreveport, Ronnie attended and graduated from Northwestern State in Natchitoches. Ronnie and Jackie raised their family in Algiers before moving to Mandeville in 2004. Ronnie will be remembered as a husband, father, Pawpaw, mentor, and friend to many. He will also be remembered as a consummate salesman and New Orleans sports fan. His sales career included over thirty-five years with Manny’s Sanitary Supplies and ten years with Schneider Paper Products, where he made a ‘job’ fun while building dozens of lifelong friends, he called family. Ronnie was a humble man who enjoyed family and friends, sports, and his church community. He lived life the way he wanted and his jovial attitude, smile, laugh and love of family made the man we will remember. Ronnie will be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Tammany Parish Hospital and Northshore Extended Care Hospital for their over-the-top dedication, care, and kindness.
