Ronald Wayne Greene's Obituary
Mr. Ronald Wayne Greene, 65, U.S. Air Force retired, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, in Covington. He was a native of Kansas City, Mo., raised in Pinellas Park, Fla., and resided in Covington for the past 21 years.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Fielding Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Greene was the husband of 31 years to Polly Hamilton Greene, son of the late Murrell and Genevieve Greene and brother of Tim Greene and the late Murrell Ray Greene.
A U.S veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Greene retired from the U.S. Air Force after a 20-year career where he was a ground flight mechanic and worked in personnel. After retirement he was a barber working in Hammond, Mandeville, Covington, Ponchatoula and Slidell. He was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Covington.
