Ronald Byron Fortier, age 75 of Folsom, LA died on Monday, August 07, 2017, at his home.
Born, Tuesday, January 20, 1942 in New Orleans, LA to Byron Herman Fortier and Claire Heintz Fortier. He was a native of Covington and lived in Folsom for the past 37 years.
Survived by Wife - Muriel Gallagher Fortier, Daughter - Andree' M. Fortier, Sons - Brett G. Fortier, Barret K. Fortier (Aimee B. ), Brennan P. Fortier, Granddaughter - Allie Fortier, Grandson - Luke Fortier, Sister - Linda Mott.
He was predeceased by his Father - Byron Herman Fortier, Mother - Claire Heintz Fortier and Brother-in-law Wade Mott.
He was a graduate of Covington High School in 1959, and received a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture from Southeastern LA University. His career included being a Banker, Realtor and Project Manager for J. Ray McDermott Offshore.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 1:00 PM to service time. Inurnment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
