Ronald John Daly's Obituary
Ronald John Daly, after a three month battle with an aggressive cancer, entered eternal rest with his Lord and Saviour Jesus the early morning of Saturday, May 04, 2024 with his daughter by his side at St Anthony’s Gardens in Covington. He was 83 years old. Born and raised in the Irish Channel of New Orleans, a graduate of Redemptorist High School. Husband of Carmen Tome-Daly, father of Angela Daly-Fecke, son-in-law Thomas Fecke and grandfather of Chloe Elle Fecke.
Preceded in death by his father William J. Daly, mother Suzy Richardson Daly, sister Marion Daly Burke, brother Gerald “Jake” Daly. Loved by nieces and nephews, Jesse Daly and Jack Daly of North Pole, Alaska, Mickey Farmer and Melinda Burke of Asheville, North Carolina.
Ronnie spent his early years of work at Western Union traveling the streets of New Orleans. He later transitioned as a salesman for John E. Koerner, a wholesale bakery supply company in South Louisiana.
Ronnie loved and enjoyed the company of many people, who never met a stranger, all around Jefferson Parish and throughout his career, many of which became his close friends. He was a very special and unique person who was well liked and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In his family he was well known for his festive fireworks display especially with the Rafferty & Tome families on Filmore Ave. Ronnie’s friendly spirit and jovial attitude will remain in our hearts for a long time to come.
The Fecke family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by St Anthony’s Gardens, St Tammany Hospice and Foundations Hospice.
