Ronald Gilbert Burkhalter's Obituary
Ronald Gilbert Burkhalter passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Covington, LA. He was born on March 11, 1943 in Center, TX to the late Travis Franklin Burkhalter and Dora Mae Halstead Burkhalter.
Ron was the beloved husband of Joan Pecoraro Burkhalter for 58 years. He was the loving father of Ronda B. Cairns, William B. Burkhalter (Freddie), Susan B. Paille, and Steven G. Burkhalter (Mary). Ronald was the proud grandfather of Max Cairns, Sarah Barr, Joshua Paille, Matthew Paille, Christian Paille, Casey Paille, Daniel Burkhalter, Cameron Savelle, and the late Rebekah Burkhalter; great-grandfather of four. He was the brother of Charles Burkhalter, James Burkhalter, Dennis Burkhalter, Darrell Burkhalter, Donnie Burkhalter, Danny Burkhalter, and Corey Burkhalter, Judy Reynolds, and the late Brenda Buckner.
Ron served proudly in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. He was a local square dance caller for 40 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Theodore Dendinger Cemetery, Madisonville, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
