Dearest Sue and Phillip,
I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Roland's passing. I first heard of it from Cathy, she saw the notice on Phillip's Facebook. It is hard to know he is no longer around to talk to my Daddy or to be visited. I know that through our love and reverence for Jesus Christ that we shall see and know him again. He was the best uncle. I remember so many summer evenings f my teen years when he let us children be and showed us the farm and told so many fascinating stories. I still hear his gentle tone and robust laughter in my head. Dad only had one brother and although he truly loved/loves his sisters, he has a special bond with his brother. May you have peace and comfort at this time. We love you Uncle Roland. I love you too Phillip, Sue, and your families.

There is going to be a big hole in this family where Uncle Roland used to be. Living in another state it was always a comfort just knowing he was out there. I will miss him and will pray your family takes comfort in knowing what a good man he was and how much he was loved and will be missed.

So sorry to hear this news. I only got to knowMr Roland over the past few years on visits with my mom. He was always warm and welcoming. He told me lots of history about the Oalmann family and the Waldheim community.. His love for the community and God’s peace were always evident in our conversations. My only regret is that I didn’t get to know him sooner,
